UTime Picture: i have around about 2.5 hours atm but i will be on way more i am a very deticated person
Do you have a working mic? yes i do it is a clear mic (astro A40 TR)
Do you have Teamspeak 3? yes
What is your time zone? GMT
Can you communicate fluently in English? yes
What is your age? 17
Are you willing to sacrifice play time to staff the server? yes i will always be active as i am i very deticated player
Why do you want to become a staff member? Mostly because i love to aid people, and while i don't need a rank for most things helpful having the tiny bit of authority a staff rank gives usually helps people trust you and the commands are necessary to take care of rulebreakers that just won't listen. I get along well with current staff and am enjoying the servers so far- and i would love to invest time in Revolution Networks to help it become an even greater community!
What skills do you bring to the staff team? I'm very much mature and have a long history of staff, ever since the age of 12 when i first obtained moderator on a Minecraft server. I've worked in a shop since the age of 13 where I've been allowed to learn many things that'll aid me in my future career and being staff, most importantly an incredible amount of patience, interaction with customers (players) and keeping people happy to the best of my ability. On top of this all, i'm currently a first-year nursing student, which, again, has taught and will teach me plenty of things about communication. That's not all i have to offer- i type incredibly quickly at 145 words per minute at most (but 135 is a bit more realistic for longer periods), allowing me to either intervene as quickly as possible if ill-intending players are on the server or to use my time more efficiently. I'm very resistent against stress and have lots of experience when it comes to Garry's Mod, with 2000 hours on this account and about 500 more on others, allowing me to not only help people out as staff but also as a helpful fellow player.
Scenarios: Votekick abuse and falling silent;
A player thought it would be a good idea to hide in the forested area and call a votekick on another player. No reason was included. I asked the player in question if they were just playing around with the commands or meant to do this but forgot to supply a reason. When i was not given a response, i kicked the player swiftly before the vote would end (and the vote-caller would have a chance to kick the innocent player). The player did not reconnect.
Proppushing with a language barrier;
A French player who spoke little English was pushing people around with fences. After not getting a response in English, i noticed their name and got the impression they were, in fact, not English. I asked them if they spoke English, then French, then Dutch, then German (in these respective languages) and got a response in French. Using the little French i know, i convinced them to stop proppushing and fortunately no further punishment had to be issued.
Scripting/hacking/cheating (call it what you want);
A player joined the server and i noticed them bunnyhop off the main platform. Nothing wrong with that- bunnyhopping is something everyone can learn or do, or you can just use your mouse wheel. I did keep a watchful eye over them, however; the bunnyhoppers that *are* using scripts are most usually also using other kinds of scripts, as we would soon find out was once again true. He made his way over to the ramp and the killfeed was suddenly filled with barett kills made by him; i spectated him and verified my suspicions, then banned him for two hours for scripting, which is the longest time to ban i have access to on the moment.
